Position Summary:
At Craft Productions, every event we provide Audio Visual support for is that clients’ most important show. Their show is the moment they have been working towards for weeks, months, or years. We have the opportunity to make that moment everything our clients could imagine and more. From setup to seeing smiles, our role is to provide an exceptional experience for every attendee. We are looking for someone to join our team who can learn to share in the joy of these moments.
To start, you will be helping us deliver and setup audio (PA, digital console, microphones), video (projectors, TVs, cameras, switchers, graphics), lighting (stage wash, effects lighting), and decor (mostly drape). However, we are always looking for someone who is hungry to learn and grow more within our team. If you ask how any of our equipment works, we will teach you. If you want to understand how something is best used, we will teach you. If you want to be part of making these unique experiences for our clients, we will involve you.
This role is on an as-needed basis, with local work and occasional regional travel. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced event environments.
This position offers the potential for future full-time opportunities based on performance and company growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Load, deliver, and unload AV equipment to and from event venues

Set up and strike audio, video, and lighting systems according to event specifications

Operate AV systems during events as required (e.g., mixing audio, managing projection, adjusting lighting)

Conduct basic troubleshooting and on-site technical support during events

Ensure equipment is handled safely and transported securely

Maintain clear communication with production staff and clients on-site

Assist with equipment inventory and maintenance as needed

Qualifications:
Prior experience in AV setup and operation (audio, video, lighting, and drape)

Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working on ladders or lifts

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for delivery tasks)

Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends

Strong communication and customer service skills

Familiarity with live event environments and basic troubleshooting under pressure

Technical certifications or training in AV systems a plus (e.g., Dante, Q-SYS, Shure Wireless Workbench, etc.)

Schedule & Compensation:
Pay Rate: $20-30/hour

Schedule: Varies based on event needs; advance notice provided whenever possible

Travel: Primarily local with occasional regional travel (per diem and travel accommodations provided when applicable)
