Mac

  1. Connect the thumb drive 
  2. Open “Applications” then “Utilities”. Open “Disk Utilities”
  3. Click on your device from the list on the left.
  4. Click on the “Erase” tab.
  5. When the confirmation window appears use the drop down menu to choose the “EXFat” file format.
  6. Click “Erase”

 

PC

  1. Connect the thumb drive.
  2. Open “Computer”  or “This PC” (This will depend on your operating system).
  3. Right click on your device.
  4. Click “Format”
  5. Under “Format Device Name” window click “File System”.
  6. Use the drop down menu to select exFAT
  7. Click “OK”.
